Berry Chia Jam

(makes 6-8 servings)

  • 2 cups fresh berries of choice
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  1. Place berries in a medium-sized saucepan on medium heat. Allow the berries to cook down until they begin to release their juices.
  2. Once the berries have cooked down for several minutes, mash them using a potato masher until only small chunks remain.
  3. Add honey or maple syrup and chia seeds. Stir well to combine.
  4. Allow the jam to cook on medium heat for several more minutes and allow to thicken.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow to cool. Once the jam has cooled, place it in a sealed container and refrigerate for up to one week.
  6. This jam makes for a great topping on yogurt, cottage cheese, toast, and ice cream.
  7. Enjoy!
