JOE’S STORY OF RISE UP GLORY

> “In 6 weeks I learned to eat better and was finally on board with my wife in her efforts to change our family’s eating habits. I have to treat my mind and body well if I want to live a long and healthy life. Rise Up was a great reset and reminder that I am what I eat. ”

My Results Fitness journey started when my wife Kelly purchased the 30-Day Kickstart for me as a Christmas gift. It took me about a month of “thinking about it” before finally setting up my free Strategy Session back in January, 2019. I’ve always considered myself as being active, walking and coaching my kids’ sports teams, but committing the time and energy to join a gym was not in my plans.

Things quickly changed.

I had just turned 50 and a not so positive check-up with my doctor revealed my cholesterol and blood pressure were creeping up! My doctor gave me two choices – change your lifestyle or go on medication.

After completing my 30 day trial in January, 2019, I was ready to keep going and happy I had started, despite thinking I didn’t have the time. Then came December. I was almost one full year in when the Results Fitness team started talking about Rise Up In 6 Weeks. This was their annual challenge and honestly, I was not planning on participating.

Again, things quickly changed.

I won the free Rise Up raffle so either way, I was going to be doing this. At that point, my biggest fear was not having the right mindset and discipline to see it though the full 6 weeks. I also didn’t want to let the Results Fitness team down by being “the guy that’s only doing this because he won it’.

SO WHAT HAPPENED WITH RISE UP?

After completing Rise Up, I can say without hesitation I enjoyed the challenge and had no regrets.

The motivation to succeed and prove to myself I could in fact do this pushed me into making healthy choices and committing to attending 5-6 classes/week.

In 6 weeks I learned to eat better and was finally on board with my wife in her efforts to change our family’s eating habits.  Rise Up was a great reset and reminder that I am what I eat.

Joining Results Fitness as well as participating in Rise Up, improved my numbers and has helped me avoid going on medication.

Before Results Fitness, exercise was something I thought I never had time for.

My excuses were like most – my work schedule and the kids’ activities never left me any time.

However, this changed for two reasons:

#1. Results Fitness offers multiple training options every day to accommodate any schedule. Having this flexibility to choose times and have options was a game changer

#2. The motivation I experienced from both the coaches and fellow Warriors. Having that level of community, support and accountability made the commitment easier.

I had also learned life can change in a moment, and I have to treat my mind and body well if I want to live a long and healthy life.

Today, I can’t live without Results Fitness – it’s been life changing. My fitness and health are now a priority as I’ve learned I need to take care of myself, or I won’t be around for my family.
