Jenna’s Story of Rise Up Glory!

Introducing RF Warrior Jenna – just 7 months into Results Fitness when she decided to do Rise Up!

As both an RF and Rise Up newbie, read her incredible story about as a busy mom and professional, she built better habits and overcame the stuff that (used) to get in her and to achieve life-changing results!

What was your biggest fear before signing up for Rise Up?
My biggest fear before signing up was sticking with the program. I think we have all had experiences starting a diet or workout plan, and not being able to stick with it long enough to see results. I worried that it would be too hard or restrictive, and I wouldn’t be able to keep going.

What made you decide to overcome those fears and RISE UP!?
The wonderful coaches at Results Fitness and their excitement for the program really encouraged me to do it. It became apparent to me that they wanted me to succeed just as much as I did! I knew that with their support and accountability, I would be able to give it my best shot.

Before Rise Up, what was getting in the way of you getting results / reaching your goal?
Before Rise Up, I think the main thing that was holding me back from reaching my goals was that I did not have a great plan for long term success. My everyday choices were not congruent with the goals that I had.

And, I did not have any accountability or outside support to make these changes.

How did Rise Up  help you overcome this?
The number one thing Rise Up did for me was help re-define what a good, healthy nutritious meal is.

Following the Rise Up meal plan, I re-wired my brain to be able to build an appropriate meal that would fuel my body both quickly and with low stress. Meals do not have to be complicated or even pre-planned to be nutritious, delicious and help you reach your fitness goals!

How is your life different now that you’ve completed Rise Up?
I think about food and eating differently after completing Rise Up. I focus on what my meal needs to include (protein, vegetables), in addition to what I want them to taste like. Grocery shopping for the right things and building whole meals have truly become habits!

Before Rise Up, what was your biggest nutrition struggle?
Before Rise Up, I would eat take-out several times per week. I did not have a well-stocked fridge and pantry so when I would cook, my meals were not well-rounded. I ate a lot of processed foods and snacks.

How did Rise Up help you overcome this struggle so that you could succeed?
Rise Up gave me a plan and the support that I needed to succeed. The daily tracking for 6 full weeks helped me to build long term habits. And, my coach was so wonderful in helping me trouble shoot problems or barriers that came up along the way. I never felt alone in overcoming an obstacle.

In 6 weeks, I learned how to build better meals to fuel my body and prioritize my fitness and nutrition every day.

How is Rise Up different from other diet/exercise/nutrition program you’ve tried in the past?
The nutrition aspect of Rise Up is different than other diets in so many ways.

It is not restrictive at all, and there are multiple ways to approach the nutrition plan. You can plan your own meals based on the foods and portions recommended, or you can follow a specific meal plan each week. Either way, you learn how to build a meal to optimally support your fitness goals.

I never felt hungry or like I was restricted in what I could eat.  And, best of all, this is a nutrition plan I can follow LONG TERM without feeling like I am on a diet!

What would you say to someone reading this who feels stuck, frustrated or unsure how to reach their goals? 
You will have so much support along the way, for whatever areas you are struggling in. Your coach genuinely wants to know what you need to be successful.
