Honey Lemon Chicken

Honey Lemon Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • lemon juice from 1/2 fresh lemon

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Honey Lemon Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • lemon juice from 1/2 fresh lemon

  • 2.5 tablespoons of reduced-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  1. In a medium bowl, combine chicken breast, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well to combine. For more flavorful chicken, allow it to marinate for several hours before cooking.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the honey lemon sauce ingredients. Which well to incorporate honey.

  3. Place marinated chicken in a large, heated skillet. Cook cubed chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side. To the skillet, add honey lemon sauce and mix well to coat the chicken. Continue to cook until the chicken is cooked through.

  4. Serve on top of brown rice and add a serving of steamed broccoli for a complete meal.
