Dana’s Story of Rise Up Glory!

What was your biggest fear before signing up for Rise Up?

My biggest fear was that I wasn’t disciplined enough to stick with the program. Staying consistent had always been a struggle for me, and I worried that I wouldn’t be able to follow through.

What made you decide to overcome those fears and RISE UP!?

I reminded myself that nothing changes if nothing changes and wanted to prove to myself that I could show up and do the work.

My goal for this year was taking control of my health and wellness and developing good habits—Rise Up was the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Rise Up offered exactly what I needed—a structured, supportive program to move forward. I also knew I could not do it alone anymore and that I thrive with accountability.

Before Rise Up, what was getting in the way of you getting results / reaching your goal?

A lack of consistency and accountability were my biggest challenges.

I struggled with meal planning and often felt overwhelmed by the thought of it, which led to ordering takeout almost every day or skipping meals entirely.

I did not have the energy or willpower to cook and didn’t know where to start with making balanced meals—even though I knew how important it was.

I was definitely dehydrated all the time and wasn’t moving enough—I even started skipping dog walks.

How did Rise Up / Results Fitness help you overcome this to succeed?

The coaching, check-in’s and structure of Rise Up helped me stay accountable and build better habits. The community and support on Facebook reminded me that we were all in this together, which kept me motivated.

It pushed me to start planning meals consistently, eating more home-cooked meals, and increasing my workouts to four times a week, including showing up for a HIIT class—something I wanted to try for a long time but was too intimidated to start.

I was reminded of my “why” every week: I deserve to feel more energized, confident and comfortable in my body and clothes.

That constant reminder helped me stay focused and motivated to keep going.

The program’s focus on portion sizes, balanced meals and incorporating macronutrients helped me fuel my body properly and finally see results.

The program gave me the tools I needed to simplify meal planning, like easy-to-follow recipes and a focus on balanced macronutrients.

Having guidance around nutrition helped me shift my mindset and embrace progress over perfection. Meal planning is still a work in progress, but I now feel equipped to make better choices, even on busy days.

Even before starting Rise Up, Results Fitness helped me build a workout routine like I never thought I could have.

Working out three times a week and committing for an entire year sounded impossible.

I had never worked out more than one or two times a week—usually not at all—and certainly never consistently.

The year-long commitment to three workouts a week encouraged me to show up because I had made an investment in myself.

But more importantly, the RF coaches are everything—they’re knowledgeable, caring and supportive. And being told exactly what to do and how to do it is exactly what I need.

Then, entered Rise Up, where I was challenged to increase to four workouts a week.

The combination of support, structure, and accountability helped me succeed in a way I never thought possible.

Sometimes I just need a push.

How is your life different now that you’ve completed Rise Up?

In 6 weeks, I increased my workouts, started going to HIIT classes, ate more home-cooked meals, increased muscle, lost 8 pounds of body fat, and built the confidence to keep pushing myself toward my goals!

I have more energy and feel more confident in my body and clothes. Even when I slip up, I know I have the tools to get back on track—this resilience has been a game-changer for me.

While I may not always plan an entire week in advance, I’ve built the habit of planning meals the night before, which reduces decision fatigue the next day.

Since Rise Up, finishing my 34 oz Yeti (and more!) before leaving work has become second nature.

And I don’t skip dog walks anymore—they’ve become part of my routine, which keeps me, and my husky mix active and happy!

I now see my daily dog walks as part of my active recovery. Walking regularly has helped me easily hit 8,000–10,000 steps most days, which has been great for both of us.

I’m saving money on food, eating out so much less and am more intentional about what I buy at the grocery store.

I feel more comfortable physically because the meals I prepare at home are lighter and easier on my stomach. Being lactose intolerant, I can be more mindful of ingredients and make adjustments that work for me.

I’m proud that I’ve made my health and wellness a priority!

I finally want to go to my workouts, not just feel like I should go. That shift has been so empowering, and I can’t wait to do the next Rise Up program!!

How is Rise Up different from other programs (exercise/diet/nutrition based) you’ve tried in the past?

I tried Noom but it was too overwhelming, and I felt like I was relying entirely on myself to stay consistent.

Rise Up is completely different!

You have a coach who knows you, understands your goals and genuinely cares about helping you succeed.

The accountability and personal support make all the difference! It’s not just about a quick fix; it’s about building sustainable habits with a team cheering you on.

What would you say to someone struggling with their health, fitness, and nutrition but unsure what to do or where to start?

If you feel overwhelmed or don’t know how or where to start, Rise Up and Results Fitness will give you the tools and support to move forward. The accountability and community are game changers.

The program doesn’t just help you physically—it also helps improve your mindset.

Feeling healthier and more confident has had a huge impact on my mental health and overall happiness.

The program meets you where you are and helps you build the habits you need to create real, lasting change—one step at a time.

Most importantly, you’ll gain the confidence and resilience to know that even if you slip up, you can keep going and succeed.
