Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

(makes 4 servings)

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into strips

  • 1 green pepper, sliced

  • 1 red pepper, sliced

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons grass-fed butter

  • 4 slices provolone cheese

  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Heat skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add peppers, onion, and garlic.

  2. Cook vegetables for 3-4 minutes and remove from pan and set aside.

  3. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter and add chicken and seasonings. Cook until chicken is cooked through.

  4. Add peppers and onions back to the pan and mix with the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. Place provolone slices on top of the chicken and vegetables and cover the pan with a lid for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
