LIFE BEFORE RISE UP
Before Rise Up, I kept making excuses for when I would starting “eating better” or, “drinking less” but it always felt like we had an event / something going on and then it was the holidays. I just kept putting it all off and not putting my health first. In my mind, I didn’t want to “miss out” on eating or drinking something at a party.
At that time, my biggest struggle was eating WHOLE foods. Steering away from breads and heavily processed food wasn’t something I was used to. Changing my habits and adding in more whole foods through Rise Up meant completing shifting my mindset.
Coming off the holidays, I was considering Rise Up. I wasn’t new to Results Fitness, but it had been a few years since I last completed the program. My intentions of eating better / not drinking as much were still weighing on my mind but even so, my biggest fear was not sticking with the program which would then mean not losing any weight or body fat. I have tried soooo many other programs and diets and never stuck with anything because it’s either not sustainable for my life or, I didn’t hold myself accountable.
I decided it was time to “Rise Up” because I personally needed a push to get me out of the cycle of poor eating and drinking and a boost to lose the baby weight from my pregnancy.
WHAT HAPPENED WITH RISE UP
Before Rise Up, I had good intentions but wasn’t turning them into action. Without any outside accountability, nothing was changing. Rise Up provided the exact “boost” I needed by holding me accountable every day / each week and that was the #1 reason I not just stuck to the program but succeed. Once I started seeing results after just 1 week, I knew I was on the right path!
Another major game changer for me was shifting my “typical healthy foods” with ACTUAL healthy foods. Focusing on more WHOLE, real foods felt good – no more bloat, I slept better and stayed full longer! It didn’t feel like I was missing out or dieting. Gaining a better understanding of how to eat healthy has been eye-opening. It’s not hard, it doesn’t taste bad and you just feel completely different in the best way.
Rise Up is different than any other program I’ve tried because it gives you the tools and flexibility to stick with it and truly make it a lifestyle instead of just a “diet” or quick fix. You can continue following the habits learned while living normally. Plus, the community at Results Fitness is so motivating and everyone helps picked you up when you are struggling; providing you with the confidence to keep going.
HOW LIFE IS DIFFERENT NOW
In 6 weeks, I hit all my goals and can’t wait to keep going! I lost 15 lbs, 13 lbs of fat and 2 inches off my waist! I haven’t stopped practicing and applying everything I learned during the 6 weeks. Notably, the healthier habits I learned and created – hitting a daily step goal, drinking water, prioritizing sleep, how to create easy, balanced meals, holding MYSELF accountable and doing the 1:1 Nutrition Coaching program with Coach Amie post Rise Up – are all important habits supporting my next set of goals!
If you are where I was at before Rise Up, my advice to you is – if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT! Like I said, I have tried countless programs, and nothing has worked. Most weren’t sustainable long-term or, I wasn’t being held accountable. Rise Up simplifies the entire process without “dieting”. It isn’t hard, you just have to be ready and willing to make the change and then you’ll find out that WHOLE foods and new recipes are DELICIOUS!!
