Meatza Pizza

(makes 4 servings)

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey breast
  • 1/4 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • favorite pizza toppings
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a medium-sized cast iron skillet with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg whites, and seasonings. Form into a large ball and then place into the prepared skillet. Once in the skillet, begin pressing the mixture into the pan until the bottom is covered.
  3. Bake the “crust” for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Pour the tomato sauce across the top of the crust and spread evenly. Top with desired toppings. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until toppings begin to brown or soften (veggies) and then sprinkle with parmesan cheese once removed from the oven.
  5. Enjoy!
