(Quick) Pickled Red Onions
- 1 large red onion, very thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons fine sea salt
- Thinly slice onions and pack them into a 1-pint mason jar.
- Pour the remaining ingredients over the sliced onions. Seal the mason jar and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
- Place the sealed jar in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to marinate and the onions to soften.
- These make a great topping for salads, sandwiches, and wraps!
