What was your biggest fear or concern before starting Results Fitness?
My biggest fear when starting was the fear of the unknown and fear of failure.
I had played soccer my entire life, but this was something different. I had gotten to a place in my life where I wasn’t working out consistently and was concerned I would just quit because it was too hard, or wasn’t for me. Admittedly, my very first workout at Results Fitness I was shaking from being so nervous!!
How did you overcome that fear or concern to take the plunge and become a Warrior?
Honestly, I took it one step at a time. I knew I needed a change in my life and it wouldn’t happen overnight (I mean, let’s be real, we all would love that!).
I also think the coaches and my peers helped because they accepted me where I was at and got me through the workouts one day at a time.
The RF coaches are alwasy there to help you adjust when needed. I acutally found out I was pregnant 6 weeks into starting and Coaches Amie, Josh and Marissa modified the workotus throughout my enture pregnancy so that I could continue exercising.
But I’ll repeat it again…ONE STEP AT A TIME.
That’s how I overcame the fear.
What was your biggest fitness struggle and how did RF help you overcome it?
My biggest fitness struggle was finding a routine that worked with me. Before Results Fitness, I was one of those people that would try all the different workouts and classes but would never stuck with anything. I wouldmake excuses and find reasons I couldn’t make it work: my my knee would hurt, so I would stop. Work got busy, so I wouldn’t find the time.
For me, there was always a little excuse, until Results Fitness. At R, there is a plan. I truly feel like I show up, they have the workouts, help when I need it and are always there to answer questions and help along the way. It truly is like a family. The coaches want to see you do well, will help you in any way and they genuinely want you to succeed and be a better you! This is something you truly feel during every single workout!
How is your life different since becoming a Results Fitness Warrior?!
I don’t even know where to start — is completely different, in the best way!
Physically, emotionally and mentally, I am stronger! Working out has become a habit – as I want to be healthy for my family and for myself – and I finally feel like I am!
I have less pain in my knee and joints, am more confident, happy, and finally feel like I found my place. I couldn’t imagine not having Results Fitness as my gym and this community by my side.
I look at the Maggie before joining Results to now, and I just can’t believe where I am at now. I just feel happy. It truly is amazing what physical health can do for your mental and emotional well-being.
What would you say to someone who hasn’t found their gym home, needs help with their fitness but doesnt know how or where to start?
Just take the first step and make sure you take it with Results Fitness! Sign up for that first class and lean on the RF community and coaches!
Remember consistency is key and the hardest part. A great thing about RF is being able to plan for and sign up for classes in advance. Being able to do this allows me to have a set schedule and keeps me on track so exercise remains a permanent fixture in my routine. And not all days/weeks are perfect- I have a toddler and can attest – but j ust keep going and know you have got this!
And when you get down, you will have a support system of coaches and peers to lift you back up.
