For Jin, turning 40 wasn’t just another birthday.
It became the beginning of a new chapter.
“I decided that this milestone birthday was going to be my marker for making changes in several areas of my life,” she says.
Health was at the top of that list.
She had completed multiple marathons and practiced yoga consistently every week, so she knew she was capable of committing to something meaningful. But she also recognized a pattern.
“Whenever I started something new, I’d become incredibly motivated, set unrealistic expectations, get discouraged when results didn’t happen fast enough, and eventually give up.”
Looking back, Jin realized her biggest challenge wasn’t motivation.
It was having a clear plan.
“I knew I wanted to look and feel better, but I wasn’t owning my goals. I kept hoping things would somehow change without making meaningful changes to my lifestyle.”
She also knew yoga alone wasn’t enough to build the strength she wanted as she entered her 40s.
“I kept hearing how important strength training is for women as we get older. I felt late to the game, but I finally realized it was better late than never.”
When Jin met with Jenna for her consultation at Results Fitness, something immediately felt different.
“Everything leading up to my consultation was organized and thoughtful. During our meeting, I felt heard, and for the first time I truly believed my goals were achievable.”
After completing her two-week trial, she made a decision that would change everything.
“I realized I needed to put my money where my mouth was. My health was worth investing in.”
Although she joined Results Fitness right away, she waited before signing up for Rise Up.
The first time the program was offered, she wasn’t ready.
She was still learning how to make workouts a consistent part of her life and letting go of the all-or-nothing mindset that had sabotaged her in the past.
“Some weeks I only made it to one workout—or none at all. Before Results Fitness, I would’ve taken that as a sign to quit. Instead, every time I came back, the coaches and Warriors welcomed me like I had never missed a day.”
That support gave her the confidence to try Rise Up the next time it came around.
By then, she had built a realistic workout routine and felt ready to focus on nutrition.
At the beginning of Rise Up, Jin was the heaviest she’d been in nearly 15 years.
She loved feeling stronger, but she didn’t feel comfortable in her own body.
“Some days I’d convince myself it was all muscle. Other days I’d tell myself weight gain was just part of getting older.”
Rise Up helped her realize neither story was true.
“It was the secret sauce that helped everything finally click. I could feel strong and feel good about my body at the same time.”
One day during a TRX workout, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror.
“I had to do a double take because my arms looked completely different.”
The physical changes were exciting.
But the confidence she gained mattered even more.
Today, Jin is stronger in every sense of the word.
Her yoga practice has improved dramatically, she’s more confident choosing the right weights during workouts, and she’s no longer afraid to challenge herself.
“That alone feels empowering.”
When asked what makes Rise Up different, her answer is simple.
“It just works if you follow the program. There are no gimmicks or shortcuts—just proven habits, incredible coaching, and a system that helps you succeed.”
One thing that stood out most to her was how personal the coaching felt.
“Coach Amie asked me what kind of coaching I needed before we even started. I was going through a difficult season and told her I needed a supportive approach. That’s exactly what I received.”
For anyone who’s hesitant to get started, Jin shares one thought that stayed with her throughout the program.
“Nothing changes if nothing changes.”
Looking back, Jin calls joining Results Fitness one of the best decisions she’s made.
“Just one year in, the impact has been so significant that I can’t imagine going back to a time when strength training wasn’t part of my life. All I have to do is show up—and Results Fitness takes care of the rest.”
