Tofu! Ever tried it? Cooked with it? The unique thing about tofu is its ability to take on the flavor of whatever it’s being marinated and cooked with.

And Tahini – possibly the best kept secret for super amazing dressings for just about anything!

Together, this recipe is a flavor punch and makes for a great build your own bowl type of meal. And, if you have never tried tofu, mix things up and give this a go!

This dressing is also good on veggies, salads, chicken, potatoes -tons of possibilities.

ROASTED TOFU + LEMON TAHINI DRESSING

Tofu Ingredients: Here’s What You Need

  • 1- 14 ounce block extra-firm tofu, dried and cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 3 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ Tablespoon fresh grated ginger

Recipe: Follow These Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, garlic and, ginger. Place tofu in a large bowl and pour marinade over tofu. Allow to marinate 15-20 minutes.

  • Preheat oven to 400. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. 

  • Place marinated tofu in a single layer on baking sheet. Bake 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.

  • Allow to cool

Lemon Tahini Dressing Ingredients: Here’s What You Need

  • ¼ cup Tahini

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup

  • salt and pepper, to taste

    ¼ cup water, to thin dressing as needed

Recipe: Follow These Steps

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk all ingredients together well.

  • The above recipes can be used to create a bowl or salad. Simply use a leafy green or grain as a base and add desired ingredients.

  • Top with roasted tofu and Tahini dressing.
