As a mother to two school-aged kids with a full-time job, my biggest fear before signing up for RF’s 6-week coaching program, Rise Up, was simply not having the time to commit.
My life is already so busy and unpredictable that I worried this would just be another thing I couldn’t follow through with—and I didn’t want to set myself up for disappointment.
Prior to joining Results Fitness, I had actually won a free trial at a fundraiser – that’s how it all started!
I still remember being asked during my Strategy Session why I thought I was ready to commit to the gym now, and I said, “I’m not sure I am, but I won a trial, so here I am.”
It took me 10 more months before I signed up for my first Rise Up program. But somewhere along the way, I realized that it didn’t matter if I was sure I could do it. I would never
know unless I tried. So I tried.
Before Rise Up, the biggest challenge was time—or rather, how unpredictable my time was.
My schedule is all over the place: days, nights, weekends, even 12- or 24-hour shifts. That kind of inconsistency made it hard to prioritize fitness or even plan meals. I wasn’t setting
myself up for success because I wasn’t planning ahead and constantly put myself last.
Rise Up challenged me to focus on me for 6 weeks – and that was powerful!
With my very own coach, I set a specific goal, and we built a detailed plan to reach it. What I appreciated most was that my coach met me exactly where I was. Coach Amie didn’t
expect perfection—just progress. She offered thoughtful feedback and helped me adjust my routines realistically to move closer to my goal.
Together, we anticipated obstacles and whether it was prepping healthy snacks for late-night shifts or modifying workouts to do from home when I couldn’t make it to the gym – I
always had a plan.
That kind of support made the difference between trying and actually thriving! Now, I FEEL so much better – and that’s no small thing.
I have more energy, I rarely hit that afternoon slump anymore, and I just feel stronger overall. I definitely gained muscle and can tell with how I am able to perform in my strength
training. I’m not just going through the motions—I’m performing at a higher level, and that’s a really empowering feeling.
When it came to nutrition, I thought I was eating pretty healthy prior to Rise Up. But looking back, I wasn’t building truly balanced meals or snacks. I didn’t understand how
important it was to balance protein, carbs, and healthy fats—or how much of each I actually needed.
Now, I know what a balanced meal looks like. I can walk into any restaurant and confidently build a plate that fuels me without leaving me drained. I can scan a recipe and know
immediately if it’s good to go or what I need to tweak to make it more nourishing.
That kind of awareness has been a game changer!
For me, it’s been the Results Fitness coaches and tools provided that’s made all the difference.
Rather than trying to change everything at once, Coach Amie helped me set a clear goal and break it down into three actionable steps each week. That structure really spoke to my
Type A personality.
I loved the weekly tracking sheets and receiving my coach’s feedback. And, it wasn’t just “good job”—it was real coaching.
Coach Amie helped me uncover little habits that were getting in my way and gave me smart, realistic suggestions to course correct. Whether it was prepping for night shifts with
healthy snacks or adapting gym workouts to something doable at home, I always had support and a plan.
In 6 weeks, I felt better, crushed my goal, and surprised the hell out of myself with what I can do!
