Holiday Survival: Do It Different This Year!

Thanksgiving is less than three weeks away — the official kickoff to the holiday season!

Ahh yes, the joyous holiday season: six festive, food-filled, family-packed weeks filled with parties, treats and traditions!

From Thanksgiving through New Year’s, life’s about to get busy with parties, family gatherings, and tables filled with your favorite foods.

The holidays bring festive fun, tradition and celebration — but also stress, chaos and that nagging fear of “falling off track.”

The holiday season is that time when your routine feels harder to stick to, and suddenly, fitness and healthy habits start slipping down the priority list.

The good news? The holidays themselves only make up a handful of actual days, 5 or 6.  That’s just a few meals out of the 100+ you’ll eat during the entire holiday season!

So while it’s easy to feel like the holidays completely derail your goals, the truth is it’s not those few days that make or break your progress — it’s what you do between them that really matters!

Let’s break it down.  Between now and the start of the New Year, you still have:

  • 159 non-holiday meals left
  • 55 days to move your body
  • 8 full weekends to reset, rest, and recharge

That’s a lot of opportunity to stay consistent, keep your routine and feel your best heading into 2026!  So before the whirlwind of travel, turkey, and tinsel takes over, here’s your gentle reminder: You are still in control.

You can absolutely enjoy your favorite foods, relax with friends and family, and still keep your goals within reach. It all comes down to balance and consistency.

In this blog, you’re learning how to enjoy every cookie, cocktail and celebration without undoing your progress — so you roll into January feeling strong, confident and totally in control!

HOW TO STAY BALANCED (WITHOUT MISSING OUT)

Your habits and choice — not the holidays — shape how you look and feel come January. You don’t need perfection in the coming six weeks – you just need consistency!

Making better choices outside of the holiday days will help you maintain muscle (your metabolism’s best friend), prrevent fat and weight gain (no “starting over” in January) and keep you energized through the holiday chaos!

The key? Balance!

Here’s how to create balance so you not only survive, but thrive this holiday season:

#1. Keep your structure: Even 2–3 workouts per week is enough to maintain your strength and sanity. You’ll feel better, sleep better and manage stress better — all while keeping those healthy habits alive!

#2. Plan for the “special” days: Enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas and all other family holidays guilt-free! Just get right back to your normal routine the next day — no “I’ll start Monday” needed.

#3. Make the other 159 meals count: Prioritize protein, veggies, and hydration all other days — that’s where progress (and balance) lives.

#4. Sleep and de-stress: When life gets crazy, sleep and movement are your secret weapons. Both help regulate hunger hormones, improve mood and keep cravings in check.

#5. Don’t do it alone: Accountability is everything — especially now! Having a coach and being part of a community keeps you focused, supported and consistent, even when life gets hectic.

Real talk: staying accountable is so much easier when you’re not doing it alone — and that’s exactly what being a Results Fitness Warrior is all about! At RF, you don’t just get a workout — you get:

  • A structured training program that keeps you consistent (even when life gets busy)
  • Coaches in your corner making sure you stay challenged, supported and on track with your goals!
  • A community of people who actually get it — cheering you on when motivation dips and celebrating every win along the way!

When you show up at Results Fitness, you’re surrounded by energy, accountability and people who want you to succeed. That’s what keeps our Warriors strong through the holidays — and why they roll into January already feeling confident and in control!
