CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER EGGS

What in this world tastes better than chocolate and peanut butter?! NOTHING!

Today’s recipe was a kitchen experiment gone really, really GOOD! Get ready, because this recipe is one you will be making over and over again:

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER EGGS

These eggs are a healthier spin on the infamous and original Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs and lemme just tell ya- making this is something you will NOT regret! With only three simple ingredients, it has way less additives and sugars compared to the others but keep in mind, still something to enjoy in moderation due to higher volume of calories.

With Easter approaching, this is a perfect project to do with your kiddos while coloring eggs and preparing for the holiday weekend (or anytime your sweet tooth kicks in).

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER EGGS

Ingredients: Here’s What You Need:

  • 1 cup peanut butter powder (PB2 or PBfit)

  • ¼ cup water + 2 tablespoons

  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips

Recipe: Follow These Steps

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup of water and peanut butter powder.

  • Mix well until it becomes the texture of cookie dough. If needed, add additional water 1 tablespoon at a time.

  • Place “dough” in the refrigerator for several hours to chill.

  • Remove from refrigerator and roll the dough into 5 balls and shape into the form of an egg. Place back in the refrigerator to firm them back up.

  • When ready to coat, melt chocolate in 30-second intervals in the microwave until it is smooth.

  • Drizzle over the “eggs” and coat.

  • Refrigerate for 1 hour in order to harden the chocolate.
