- 1 15-ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (or taco seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon salsa
- In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth, leaving a few chunks for texture.
- Add oat flour, egg, chili powder, and salsa. Stir until well combined — the mixture should hold together but not feel too wet.
- Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ½ inch thick.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until firm and slightly crisp on the edges.
- Enjoy on a lettuce wrap, whole-grain bun, or over a salad with avocado, tomato, and a squeeze of lime.
