Warrior Stories: Meet Tara

Before Tara joined Rise Up, she wasn’t looking for another diet.

She was looking for a lasting change.

Although she’d been a Results Fitness Warrior for years, signing up for Rise Up felt intimidating.

The idea of changing her lifestyle was overwhelming, especially knowing she’d be taking the journey alongside her fiancé.

“There was definitely fear of the unknown,” Tara says. “But I always believed the best cure for fear is to dive in.”

What ultimately pushed her to take that leap wasn’t the number on the scale.  It was her health, her family and the example she wanted to set for her daughters.

“I wanted to prioritize my health the right way, not through restriction or dieting, but by learning about nutrition, exercise and how to take care of myself. I realized that just because I was active didn’t necessarily mean I was healthy.”

Like so many busy moms, Tara struggled with consistency.

Injuries interrupted her workouts, meal planning felt overwhelming as a mom with picky eaters and convenience often beat healthy choices.

“I thought I didn’t have time to meal prep, so I relied on takeout or whatever was easiest. And water? I always had coffee in my hand instead!” she laughs.

Rise Up changed the way she approached her entire lifestyle.

Through meal planning, batch cooking, weekly coaching, and the support of the Results Fitness community, Tara realized healthy living didn’t require perfection.

It required preparation.

“Results Fitness gave me the tools, the meal plans, cookbook, weekly strategies, and coaching, to make healthy choices realistic.”

What surprised her most was how those changes reached far beyond herself.

Meal planning became family time. Her daughters started helping in the kitchen.  She and her fiancé began planning and cooking healthy meals together, turning ordinary evenings into opportunities to connect.

“I remembered that I’m the role model in my home. I set the tone for my family’s health, and now I have the tools to teach my girls healthy habits they’ll carry with them for life.”

Today, Tara says meal prep has become a game changer.

She’s less stressed, packs her lunch every day, avoids the temptation of unhealthy convenience foods, and feels prepared instead of overwhelmed.

“My coworkers couldn’t believe I started bringing my lunch every day!” she says.

But perhaps the biggest transformation wasn’t physical.

It was her mindset.

“Rise Up empowered me to take control of my health through knowledge, support, and accountability. The coaches celebrated my successes, helped me work through challenges, and the community reminded me I wasn’t doing it alone.”

When asked what she’d tell someone who’s considering Rise Up, Tara doesn’t hesitate.

“It’s time to prioritize your health, the lasting way, the life-changing way. Trust the process, do the work, and you’ll be amazed by what’s possible!”

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too busy, don’t know where to start, or have tried every diet without lasting success, Tara wants you to know you’re not alone.

Rise Up isn’t about restriction or quick fixes. It’s about building habits, gaining confidence, and creating a healthier life for yourself and the people who matter most.
