Warrior Stories: Meet Rae

For years, Rae put everyone else first.

Like so many women, she had the best intentions. She’d start an at-home workout program, stay motivated for a few days, and then life would get busy.

Work, family, and everyday responsibilities always seemed to come first, leaving her health at the bottom of the list.

“I was stuck in a cycle I couldn’t break,” Rae says. “I always had good intentions, but somehow I was always the last thing on my own priority list.”

She also struggled with nutrition.

“I thought eating healthy meant restricting myself until I eventually gave up. I didn’t know how to fuel my body.  I just knew I needed help.”

Everything changed when Rae was diagnosed with osteoporosis at just 56 years old.

“It was a huge wake-up call. I knew if I didn’t take control of my health right then, things were only going to get worse.”

Although she’d been a Results Fitness Warrior nearly ten years earlier, she’d never found her way back.

Then, one completely unexpected afternoon, everything changed.

While relaxing by the pool at a weekend getaway, she happened to run into Coach Josh.

“It felt like a sign. The timing, the place… I just knew it was time to come back.”

When she learned the next Rise Up program was beginning just weeks later, she didn’t hesitate.

Rise Up gave Rae more than a nutrition plan.

It gave her the structure, coaching and accountability she’d been missing for years!

“The coaches helped me understand how to fuel my body without feeling deprived, and the Warrior community made me feel like I wasn’t doing this alone. People checked in, celebrated my wins, and encouraged me on the days I needed it most.”

One of Rae’s biggest victories wasn’t losing weight.

It was proving to herself that she could stay consistent!

During her six weeks in Rise Up, she got sick twice and traveled out of town four different times.

In the past, those obstacles would have completely derailed her progress.

This time, they didn’t.

“I still managed my nutrition and workouts, even if they looked a little different. For the first time, I didn’t make excuses, and that’s what I’m most proud of. If I can do it, anyone can.”

Today, Rae feels stronger, healthier and more confident than she has in years!

She plans her meals, prioritizes protein, brings lunch to work, and no longer sees exercise as something she has to do.

She genuinely looks forward to it.

“I have never in my life looked forward to working out. I always saw it as a chore. Now I plan my days around my workouts because I actually want to be there.”

For Rae, what makes Rise Up different isn’t the meal plans or workouts.

It’s the people.

“You walk in feeling nervous and walk out feeling unstoppable. The coaches believe in you before you believe in yourself. They celebrate every win, help you through every setback, and make you feel seen, valued, and supported.”

When asked what she’d tell someone who’s thinking about joining Rise Up, Rae’s answer is simple.

“Just say yes. You don’t have to have it all figured out.  You just have to show up. The coaches and Warrior community will help you with the rest.”

It took Rae nearly ten years to return to Results Fitness.

It took just six weeks to build habits that changed her life.

“Rise Up didn’t just help me get healthier. It helped me take my life back!”
