Before Deb joined Results Fitness, she’d been down the gym road before.
Like many people, she’d join with the best intentions, go consistently for a while, and eventually stop.
“I’d work out on my own, do the same exercises, hop on the elliptical, and head home,” Deb says. “Eventually, I’d lose motivation because no one was there to guide me or hold me accountable.”
When she discovered Results Fitness, it immediately felt different.
The scheduled workouts, coach-led training, and supportive atmosphere gave her hope that this time she could finally stick with it.
A few months later, another opportunity caught her attention – Rise Up.
She loved seeing the energy and excitement surrounding the program, but there was one problem.
She was recovering from an injury.
“I wasn’t sure the timing was right. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up or make progress because I had to modify so many exercises.”
One conversation changed everything.
“Coach Josh reminded me that Rise Up is about so much more than exercise. Nutrition is a huge part of the program, and we could modify my workouts while I recovered. That gave me the confidence to say yes.”
Looking back, Deb realizes her biggest obstacle had never been exercise.
It was trying to do everything alone.
“I kept doing the same workouts over and over. I stopped seeing results, and when the results stopped, so did my motivation.”
Results Fitness gave her exactly what she’d been missing.
New workouts that challenged her, coaches who encouraged her, and a community of Warriors she genuinely looked forward to seeing.
Rise Up added another missing piece.
Nutrition.
“The biggest thing I learned was that I wasn’t eating nearly enough protein. I completely changed the way I eat. Now I make sure every meal includes protein, I eat more vegetables, and I actually have more energy than before.”
One of Deb’s favorite surprises?
She actually eats more than she used to.
“I always thought eating less was the answer. Rise Up showed me how to fuel my body instead.”
Today, she feels stronger, has more energy, and notices something she never expected.
“Working out has become my stress relief. My mood has improved, I’m calmer, and I think more clearly.”
She’s also built a habit she never thought she’d keep.
“Scheduling my workouts in advance has been a game changer. Instead of hoping I’ll find time, I commit to a class, show up, and get it done.”
When someone tells Deb they’re nervous about committing to six weeks, she offers one simple piece of advice.
“Take it one day at a time. Six weeks sounds like a long time, but focusing on today makes it completely manageable. Before you know it, the six weeks are over—and you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come.”
Eighteen months later, Deb still looks forward to every workout.
“I love seeing everyone, and I always enjoy hearing Coach Marissa’s stories,” she laughs.
What started as another attempt to get healthy became something much bigger.
It became a routine she enjoys, a community she looks forward to, and a lifestyle she can finally see herself maintaining.
