The bespectacled guy with the youthful energy is none other than our new intern, Matt Breon! He is actually one of Coach Dane’s students at NPTI. Please welcome him with open arms and don’t haze him too much. That’s our job.
Get to know him a little bit….
– Where are you from?
I was born in Akron and lived most of my life in Stow. I currently live in Kent.
– What made you get into the industry?
I have always cared deeply about health and nutrition, but I really found my stride in strength training awhile ago. I knew that I wanted to help people in whatever career I chose and I found that my ability to influence and teach on a private basis in the fitness industry was a true passion of mine. From the minute I started at NPTI I knew that I was exactly where I needed to be.
– What’s your favorite exercise?
By far, deadlifts.
(Results Fitness footnote: YESSSS!)
– Least favorite exercise?
I really do not like doing lunges of any variety.
– Hobbies outside of school?
I really enjoy being in the gym either learning or training, especially with my friends at NPTI. Outside of the fitness world I am a huge football and hockey fan, and like unwinding with video games. Oh, and coffee. I love coffee.
– What type of music do you listen to when you exercise?
When I am lifting I typically go for heavier stuff, bands like “We Came As Romans” or “The Devil Wears Prada” are on the top of my workout list.
– What are your future goals?
After I graduate from NPTI I would like to get a couple certifications, NASM-CES and NSCA-CPT. In the next couple of years I would like to go back to school for physical therapy and get certified as a PTA.
– First thoughts on Results Fitness? Choose your answer carefully.
Results Fitness is a fantastic environment for new people as well as longtime members. I found it very easy to jump in and help out, and have connected with a lot of different members in the semi private sessions. I hope to branch out more and meet everyone in the next few weeks. The gym itself is one of the nicest facilities I have been in, and there is a different approach for everyone no matter what their goal is.
