What is external motivation? External motivation is a behavior that is influenced by any outside source. It can be found all around you; the people you surround yourself with can help bring the power of success within. Within yourself, you hold the power to overcome any obstacle. Obstacles can be found in our everyday lives; whether it is an injury, relationship issues, weak core, or even just putting your clothes on in the morning. Whether you are overcoming your personal obstacles or trying to find external motivation… utilize your resources!
What is your internal motivation? The easiest advice I can give anyone is to create an “IT Factor.” An IT Factor can be determined by assessing your main focus each day or finding what drives you to accomplish your goals. In the words of Albert Einstein “In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.” Never be afraid to fail; fear is a single emotion that breaks down the body. The stressors from fear can negatively impact your body. Negative effects for you could be illness, hormonal changes, delayed recovery, or even inability to concentrate on tasks. So… fear nothing and make your move!
